What's the real sale price?
A '25% off' sign is easy until you're standing at the shelf doing mental maths. This calculator takes the original price and the discount percentage and gives you both the final price you'll pay and the amount you save, so you can compare deals quickly and check the till is charging correctly.
How it works
The saving is the original price times the discount percentage; the sale price is the original minus that saving. For example, 25% off 80 saves 20, leaving 60. Use it for sales, voucher codes, clearance items, or to sanity-check a 'was/now' price tag.
Tips
- Stacked discounts apply one after another, not added together.
- A bigger percentage off a cheaper item can save less than a small percentage off an expensive one.
- Check whether tax is applied before or after the discount.
Frequently asked questions
Do discounts stack additively?
No — multiple discounts apply in sequence, e.g. 20% then 10% is not 30% off.
Is tax included?
This works on the price you enter; apply tax separately if needed.
Is my data private?
