Simple and weighted averages
If every grade counts equally, your average is just the sum of the grades divided by how many there are. But often some assessments matter more — a final exam might count double a quiz. That's a weighted average: each grade is multiplied by its weight, the results are added, and the total is divided by the sum of the weights.
How to use it
Enter your grades separated by commas. To weight them, enter a matching list of weights in the same order — for example grades 2, 1.7, 3 with weights 1, 1, 2 makes the last grade count double. Leave the weights blank for a plain average. The calculator works with any grading scale, including the German 1-6 system, percentages or points.
